기도하기가 어렵거나 또 어떻게 기도해야 할지 잘 모르더라도
기도하도록 스스로를 도와야 합니다.
첫번째로 사용할 방법은 침묵입니다.
우리가 내적·외적으로 침묵을 실행해 보지 않고서는 하느님의 존재 안으로 들어갈 수 없습니다.
내면의 침묵은 매우 어렵지만 우리는 그것을 위해 노력해야만 합니다.
침묵 안에서 우리는 새로운 에너지, 진정한 일치를 발견할 것입니다.
하느님의 에너지가 모든 일을 잘 이룰 수 있도록 우리의 힘이 되어주실 것입니다.
그리하여 우리의 생각이 그분의 생각과,
우리의 기도가 그분의 기도와,
우리의 행동이 그분의 행위와,
우리의 삶 자체가 그분의 생명과 일치되도록 해주실 것입니다.
일치는 기도와 겸손과 사랑의 열매입니다.
It is difficult to pray if you don’t know how to pray,
but we must help ourselves to pray.
The first means to use is silence.
We cannot put ourselves directly in the presence of God
if we do not practice internal and external silence.
The interior silence is very difficult, but we must make the effort.
In silence we will find new energy and true unity.
The energy of God will be ours to do all things well,
and so will the unity of our thoughts with His thoughts,
the unity of our prayers with His prayers,
the unity of our actions with His actions, of our life with His life.
Unity is the fruit of prayer, of humility, of love.
