평화의 기도 (한글)

오! 주여

나를 평화의 도구로 써 주소서

미음이 있는곳에 사랑을 다툼이 있는곳에 용서를

분열이 있는곳에 일치를 의혹이 있는곳에 믿음을

오류가 있는곳에 진리를 절망이 있는곳에 희망을

어둠이 있는곳에 광명을 슬픔이 있는곳에 기쁨을 심게하소서

오! 주여

위로받기 보다는 위로하며

이해받기 보다는 이해하고

사랑받기 보다는 사랑하여

자기를 온전히 줌으로써 영생을 얻기 때문입니다.

Lord, make me an instrument of your Peace.

Where there is hatred,  let me sow love ;

Where there is injury,  Pardon ;

where there is discord, unity ;

where there is doubt,   faith ;

where there is despair, hope ;

where there is darkness,light;

where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,

grant that I may not so much

seek to be consoled as to console ;

to be understood as to understand ;

to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we received ;

it is in pardening that we are pardoned ;

and it is in dying that we are

born to eternal life.

Amen.
