THE PROFESSION OF FAITH(신앙고백)

† I believe in God,

⊙ the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth, I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, Our Lord. (All bow during these two lines:) He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

† Father, it is our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere to give you thanks through your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, He is the WORD through whom you made the universe, the Savior you sent to redeem us. By the power of the Holy Spirit be took flesh and was born of the Virgin Mary. For our sake he opened his arms on the cross; he put an end to death and revealed the resurrection. In this he fulfilled your will and won for you a holy people. And so we join the angels and the saints in proclaiming your glory as we sing (say):

Before he was given up to death, a death he freely accepted, he took bread and gave you thanks. He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples, and said:

When supper was ended, he took the cup. Agin he gave you thanks and praise, gave the cup to his disciples, and said:

† Let us proclaim the mystery of faith:

† Let us pray with confidence to the Father in the words our Savior gave us:

 Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

 

† Deliver us, Lord, from every evil, and grant us peace in our day in your mercy keep us free from sin and protect us from all anxiety as we wait in joyful hope for the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

SIGN OF PEACE(평화 예식)

† Lord Jesus Christ, you said to your apostles: I leave you peace, my peace I give you. Look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church, and grant us the peace and unity of your kingdom where you live for ever and ever.
