  선생님, 축일 진심으로 축하드립니다. 언제나 말로만 선생님을 존경한다고 하면서도, 정작 선생님 축일도 못 챙겨드린 제가 너무나 부끄럽습니다. 넓으신 마음으로 이해해 주세요.

  사실 교사를 그만둔지 햇수로만 2년째에 접어드는 제가 이러쿵 저러쿵 말할 자격조차 없다는 것 잘 알지만, 선생님께서 계시기에 주일학교가 있다고 해도 과언이 아닐 것입니다. 제 선배들도 그랬고 저도 그랬고 또 지금 후배 교사들도 그렇지만, 너무나 젊기에 미숙한 부분들을 선생님께서 아버지처럼 감싸주시는 게 너무나 좋습니다.

  언제나 건강하시고 하시는 일마다 하느님께서 함께 하시기를 진심으로 바랍니다. 항상 저희 모두를 아들 딸들로 생각해 주시고 사랑해 주세요. 선생님 가정에 주님의 평화가 가득하기를 기도드리겠습니다. 다시 한 번 축일 축하드립니다.

And now the end is near and so I face the final curtain

I travelled each and every highway

When I bit off more than I could chew

But through it all when there was doubt

I ate it up and spit it out

I faced it all and I stood tall

And did it my way

I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried  

I’ve had my fill, my share of losing

And now as tears subside I find it all so amusing

To think I did all that and may I say not in a shy way

Oh, no, oh no not me

I did it my way

For what is a man, what has he got

If not himself then he has naught

To say the things he truly feels

And not the words of one who kneels

The record shows I took the blows and did it my way

Yes, it was my way
