<세상 만큼이나 넓은 마음이라는 것>
Heart As Wide As the World
모든 성인의 통공의 한 부분이라는 깨달음으로 우리 마음은 세상만큼이나 넓어지는 겁니다. 우리가 사랑하는 건 그냥 우리 사랑이 아닌겁니다. 우리 안에 계시는 예수님과 성도들의 사랑인 겁니다. 예수님의 영께서 우리 마음에 계시면 그 영 안에 사셨던 모든 이들도 거기에 계시는 겁니다. 부모님, 조부모님, 증조부모님, 우리의 선생님들과 그분들의 선생님들; 우리의 사목자들과 그분들의 사목자들; 우리를 영성으로 이끄신 분들과 그분들을 이끌어주신 분들 - 역사를 통해 길고 긴 끈을 이루는 모든 성인 성녀들-은 예수님의 영께서 사시기로 작정하신 우리 마음들의 한부분인 겁니다.
모든 성인의 통공은 그냥 사람들을 묶어주는 연대는 아닌 겁니다. 그건 그 무엇보다도 우리 마음들의 공동체인 겁니다.
Heart As Wide As the World
NOVEMBER 13
The awareness of being part of the communion of saints makes our hearts as wide as the world. The love with which we love is not just our love; it is the love of Jesus and his saints living in us. When the Spirit of Jesus lives in our hearts, all who have lived their lives in that Spirit live there too. Our parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents; our teachers and their teachers; our pastors and their pastors; our spiritual guides and theirs – all the holy men and women who form that long line of love through history – are part of our hearts, where the Spirit of Jesus chooses to dwell.The communion of saints is not just a network of connections between people. It is first and foremost the community of our hearts.
