<세상을 위한 양식이 된다는 것>
Becoming Food For the World
예수님께서는 빵을 드시고 축복하신 다음 쪼개어 제자들에게 주시는 그 하나 하나의 몸짓으로 살아오신 고갱이를 보여주신 겁니다. 예수님께서는 영원으로부터 선택받으시고 요르단강에서 세례받으시며 축복받으셨고 십자가에서 못 박혀 쪼개지시어 빵으로 세상에 내어주시게 된 겁니다. 선택과 축복을 받으시고, 쪼개지시고 남에게 내어주게 되는 것이 바로 하느님의 아드님 예수 그리스도께서 걸어가신 거룩한 길입니다.
우리가 빵을 들고 축복하여 쪼개어 “이는 --내 몸이다.”라고 말하며 건낼 때 우리도 그리스도의 삶을 닮겠다는 마음의 다짐을 드러내는 겁니다. 우리도 선택받고 축복받으며 쪼개지고 그리하여 세상을 위한 양식이 되는 삶을 살아가길 바라는 겁니다.
"우리도 ---간청하고 있습니다. 곧 여러분이 모든 영적 지혜와 깨달음 덕분에 하느님의 뜻을 아는 지식으로 충만해져,주님께 합당하게 살아감으로써 모든 면에서 그분 마음에 들고 온갖 선행으로 열매를 맺으며 하느님을 아는 지식으로 자라기를 빕니다."(콜로1,9-10)
Becoming Food For the World
JULY 12
When Jesus took bread, blessed it, broke it, and gave it to his disciples, he summarized in these gestures his own life. Jesus is chosen from all eternity, blessed at his baptism in the Jordan River, broken on the cross, and given as bread to the world. Being chosen, blessed, broken, and given is the sacred journey of the Son of God, Jesus the Christ.
When we take bread, bless it, break it, and give it with the words “This is the Body of Christ,” we express our commitment to make our lives conform to the life of Christ. We too want to live as people chosen, blessed, and broken, and thus become food for the world.
"We ask that through perfect wisdom and spiritual understanding you should reach the fullest knowledge of his will
and so be able to lead a life worthy of the Lord, a life acceptable to him in all its aspects, bearing fruit in every kind of good work and growing in knowledge of God," - Colossians 1: 9-10 (NJB)
