<그리스도 안에서 서로를 안다는 것>
Knowing One Another in Christ
우리는 종종 먼저 서로를 알고 이해한 다음 성체성사를 거행하는 제대에 모여야 한다는 생각을 합니다. 그리스도의 성체와 성혈을 함께 나누는 이들이 서로 개인적으로 안다는 건 좋은 겁니다. 하지만 성체성사를 위해 정기적으로 함께 하는 건 사람들이 하는 식으로 '서로를 아는' 여러가지 수준을 훨씬 뛰어넘는 영성의 일치를 이룰 수 있는 겁니다. 성체성사에 참례하여 예수님 죽음과 부활의 거룩한 신비에 함께 들어가면 우리는 시나브로 한 몸이 되는 겁니다. 하여 우리는 그리스도 안에서 짜장 서로를 알게 되는 겁니다.
"주님의 책에서 찾아 읽어 보아라. 이것들 가운데 하나도 빠지지 않고 제짝이 없는 것이 없으니 그분께서 친히 명령하시고 그분의 영이 그것들을 모으셨기 때문이다."(이사34,16)
Knowing One Another in Christ

Often we think that we first have to know and understand one another before we gather around the Eucharistic table. Although it is good if those who share in the Body and Blood of Christ know one another personally, coming together regularly for the Eucharist can create a spiritual unity that goes far beyond the various levels of “knowing one another” in human ways. As we enter together into the sacred mysteries of the death and resurrection of Jesus by participating in the Eucharist, we
gradually become one body. We truly come to know one another in Christ.
Look in the scroll of the Lord and read: "Not one of these will be missing, not one will lack her mate. For it is his mouth that has given the order, and his Spirit will gather them together." - Isaiah 34: 16 (NIV)
