바빌론으로 끌려 간 다음 여고니아는 스알디엘을 낳았고

스알디엘은 즈루빠벨을, 즈루빠벨은 아비흣을, 아비흣은

엘리아킴을, 엘리아킴은 아졸을, 아졸은 사독을, 사독은

아힘을, 아힘은 엘리흣을, 엘리흣은 엘르아잘을, 엘르아잘

은 마딴을, 마딴은 야곱을 낳았으며 야곱은 마리아의 남편

요셉을 낳았고 마리아에게서  예수가 나셨는데 이분을

그리스도라고 부른다.

그러므로 아브라함에서 다윗까지가 십 사 대이고, 다윗

에서 바빌론으로 끌려 갈 때까지가 십 사 대이며 바릴론

으로 끌려 간 다음 그리스도까지 또한  십 사 대이다.

After the Babylonian exile, Jechoniah became the

father of Shealtiel, Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,

Zerubbabel the father of Abiud. Abiud became the

father of Eliakim, Eliakim the father of Azor, Azor

the father of Zadok. Zadok became the father of

Achim, Achim the father of Eliud, Eliud the father of

Eleazar. Eleazar became the father of Matthan,

Matthan the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of

Joseph, the husband of Mary. Of her was born

Jesus who is called the Messiah.

Thus the total number of generations from Abraham

to David is fourteen generations: from David to

Babylonian exile, fourteen generations; from the

Babylonian exile to the Messiah , fourteen generations.
