2022-03-22 ㅣ No.153938 헨리 나웬 신부님(1932.1.24-1996.9.21)의 오! 그리고 늘! 3 월 22일  <제 자신을 아는 길이라는 것> The Ways to Self-knowledge "그대 자신을 아십시오"라는 말은 좋은 충고입니다. 하지만 자신을 안다는 게 자신을 속속들이 파헤친다는 뜻은 아닙니다. 때때로 우리는 마음대로 분해하고 다시 조립할 수 있는 기계인양 자신을 알려고 합니다. 살아가면서 어떤 중요한 시기에 위기를 겪게 한 사건을 어느 정도 자세히 따져보는 게 도움이 될 순 있지만 마치 자신을 완전히 이해하고 살아가는 뜻을 남들에게 온전히 설명 할 수 있다고 생각한다면 잘못입니다. 자신을 깨닫는 데 가장 좋은 방법은 고독 속에 침묵하며 기도하는 겁니다. 그건 우리가 살아가면서 겪는 복잡한 문제거리를 풀어주기 때문이 아니라 하느님께서 머무시는 우리 자신의 거룩한 가온(聖址)과 만나게 해주기 때문입니다. 그 거룩한 가온은 꼬치 꼬치 파헤칠 수는 없지만 흠숭과 감사 그리고 찬미드리는 자리입니다. The Ways to Self-knowledge MARCH 22 “Know yourself” is good advice. But to know ourselves doesn’t mean to analyse ourselves. Sometimes we want to know ourselves as if we were machines that could be taken apart and put back together at will. At certain critical times in our lives it might be helpful to explore in some detail the events that led us to our crises, but we make a mistake when we think that we can ever completely understand ourselves and explain the full meaning of our lives to others. Solitude, silence, and prayer are often the best ways to self-knowledge. Not because they offer solutions for the complexity of our lives but because they bring us in touch with our sacred center, where God dwells. That sacred center may not be analysed. It is the place of adoration, thanksgiving, and praise. "너희는 알아라, 주님께서 하느님이심을. 그분께서 우리를 만드셨으니 우리는 그분의 것, 그분의 백성, 그분 목장의 양 떼이어라. 감사드리며 그분 문으로 들어가라. 찬양드리며 그분 앞뜰로 들어가라. 그분을 찬송하며 그 이름을 찬미하여라. 주님께서는 선하시고 그분의 자애는 영원하며 그분의 성실은 대대에 이르신다."(시편100,3-5) "Know that the Lord is God.
