Ben's baby update

Ben and Kim have a daughter!

Makana Joy (“Makana” is Hawaiian for “gift”) came home with them last Friday. As is always the case in such situations, nothing is final until they have a court date (they’ve submitted the necessary papers for this, and should have a date 4-5 weeks after the court looks these over). At this point, if the birth mom changes her mind, the baby goes back to her. They don’t expect this, but one can never be sure, so please continue to keep them all in your prayers.  In further news, Ben is hoping to have a chance to bring Makana Joy by at a rehearsal so everyone can meet her—details on that to follow.

(피아노 반주자) 벤과 (그 와이프) 킴이 (한국성 김씨와 비슷하지만

미국인의 Kimberly의 준말임) 드디어 딸을 얻게 되었습니다.

하와이말로 "선물"이라는 뜻의 "마카나 조이"라는 이름으로

지난 금요일 드디어 계획했던대로 집에 무사히 도착한 것입니다.

(주: 참고로 벤과 킴은 20대 후반의 5년차 부부이며 아기를 가질 수 없는 모양입니다.)

이런 경우 늘 그렇듯 4-5주일 후 가정법원의 최종 확인 결정이 날때까지는 아직 확정이 된 것은 아니랍니다. 생모가 그결정이 날때 까지는 아기를 돌려 달라고 번복을 할 수있으니까 말입니다.

그러나 벤의 부부는 그런 일이 있을 수 없다고 믿습니다. (이미 합의 한 일이니까요) 그래서 여러분들의 기도가 절실히 더 필요합니다.

아마 벤이 곧 이 아기를 우리 성가연습때 데려와 선을 보일 것이라는 기쁜 뉴스를 아울러 전합니다.
