오늘은 제 단식의 5일째 되는 날이며 
양교수님께서 단식하는 날까지 같이 단식하려 합니다. 
그분의 상태, 건강, 그리고 아직도 단식하고 계신지, 
얼마나 오래 단식할 계획이신지 알려주시면 고맙겠습니다.

저는 아이를 양육하는 어머니입니다. 
그러므로 이 단식은 저에게 커다란 것입니다. 
저는 제주를 몇 번 방문한 적이 있는데  
제주도에 대한 찬사와 헌사로 많은 시들을 썼습니다. 
또한 제주 해녀분들에 대해 마음속 특별히 생각합니다. 
제 기도와 소원이 우리의 사랑하는 섬과 미래 세대를 위해 
여러분들 모두와 함께 있습니다.  

대단히 감사합니다.

 Aloha, 
Hope you are well and in light. I am a mother, poet and activist (Poet Laureate of Queens, 2004-2007) who is currently fasting in Hawai'i in solidarity with Professor Yang Yoon-Mo and the beloved people of Jejudo. 

I am currently on my fifth day of my fast, and plan on fasting as long as Professor Yang is fasting. Would greatly appreciate an update on his status, how his health is, and if he is still fasting, how long he plans to fast. 

I am a nursing mother, so this fast is a big deal for me. I've been to Jeju several times, have written numerous poems in praise and tribute for the island, and hold a special place in my heart for Jejudo haenyos as well. My prayers and well wishes are with you all, for caring about our beloved island and our future generations.
