플라멩고 팝으로 전 유럽을 열광시킨 곡 "Message Of Love" 돈 베네치의 허스키한 음색과 소프라노 아리아의 절묘한 하모니가 돋보이는 곡으로 영화 "접속"에서 한석규가 Pale Blue Eyes와 함께 자주 선곡했던 러브 발라드 곡이다. 

Message Of Love 라는 이곡은 영어 버전과 이탈리아 버전으로 발표되었는데 대부분 이탈리아 버전곡이 더 많은 사랑을 받고 있으며 방송 시그널 음악등으로 쓰이면서 알려지기 시작한 곡이다.

이 곡은 'Pygmalion effect(피그말리온 효과)'를 염두에 두고 만든 노래라고 한다. 그리스 신화에 나오는 Pygmalion(조각가)은 자신이 만든 아름다운 여인상과 사랑에 빠졌고, 나아가 결혼하게 되기를 간절히 원했다.

피그말리온이 조각상에 온갖 정성을 다하는 것을 목격한 美의 여신 아프로디테가 그 조각상을 사람으로 바꿔줬고 그리하여 '피그말리온 효과'라는 말이 생겼다고 한다. 즉, 강한 바램이 기적을 일으킨다는 의미로 '피그말리온 효과'라 일컫는단다.

"유럽의 로드 스튜어트" 돈 베네치(Don Bennechi)는 우리나라에는 그다지 잘 알려지지 않은 이탈리아 가수 돈베네치. Blues계열의 음악을 하는 뮤지션으로 알려져 있다.

Don has been around before and has had record releases in several countries. Probably it is in the Far East where he is remembered the best for the music he was making at that time. (We have just heard that the latest, unfortunately illegal, pressing of one of his old songs "Message of love", was put on the market over there recently. It was felt by many that Don was on the brink of a bigger break, when unfortunately sickness and other personal matters interfered, and sadly he was forced to interrupt his accelerating career. Although he was born in Sweden, his ancestors had some Russian (mother) French (father) and even a few other bloodlines in their veins, thus creating a super mixture of opportunities that resulted in Don himself. Naturally all of this is mirrored in Don's approach to his music and therefore all kinds of different, sometimes even a bit exotic flavours can be detected in it. Don likes a wide variety of styles and rhythms, as long as they connect with his own self and last, but not the least, with his listeners. Over the years Don has developed his very own style of singing, after much experimenting with his voice and its different possibilities of ｅxpression. Don likes his music to be sensitive, sometimes a bit romantic, so that at its best moments it will get beneath the listeners skin. This time Don hopes to reach out not only to devoted listeners, but also to any heart out there who wants to get in touch with his/her true feelings.
